Air Delivery

Our Air Delivery capabilities provide for technical feasibility and development testing of internal and external air transport and airdrop of both cargo and personnel. Testing is related to aircraft system hardware, and the hardware and procedures associated with preparing personnel and loads for air delivery. We are the Army's only facility for certifying air drop cargo and ammunition loads.

The combination of a new state-of-the-art Air Cargo Preparation Complex, essentially unrestricted airspace and highly skilled engineers, technicians, and military riggers provides the most complete infrastructure within DoD specifically geared toward the support of air delivery missions.

Airdrop testing at YPG uses cutting edge instrumentation to provide precise aircraft tracking and accurate position and velocity data throughout the descent of the load.

Additionally, air transport testing at USAYPG is supported by Laguna Army Airfield which has the capability to accept C-130, C-5, C-141, C-17, and all rotary wing aircraft with no interference from commercial activity and only moderate military traffic.
