Mrs. Sandi Weaver
Mrs. Weaver assumed the position of Chief of Staff in March 2019. In this position, she is directly responsible for the planning, coordinating, and directing of all administrative, intelligence, operational, and logistical functions for the ATEC Commanding General. Prior to that, she served as the ATEC Director for Resource Management for 8 years and was responsible for a multi-year, multi-appropriation annual budget of $2B, the manpower resources for a workforce of approximately 8,000 civilian, military, and contractor personnel, and oversight of approximately $700M in annual support contracts for the developmental testing, operational testing, and evaluation missions at the ATEC test ranges across the United States.
Mrs. Weaver was born in Maryland. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Management Studies in 1996 from the University of Maryland University College. She is a graduate of the Army Management Staff College and is a Level III Certified Financial Manager and has completed numerous other government-sponsored courses in the areas of finance, personnel, and leadership.
Mrs. Weaver began her federal employment at the US Army Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) in 1985, as a GS03 Clerk-Typist and spent the first year in the US Army Ordnance Center and School before transferring to the US Army Aberdeen Test Center, a subordinate command of the US Army Developmental Test Command (DTC). There she embarked on her Comptroller Career and held positions such as Budget Assistant, Budget Analyst, Branch Chief, Budget Officer, and Resource Manager. In 2000, she transferred to DTC Headquarters as the Budget Officer/Chief, Budget Division, in the Directorate for Resources and Personnel. In June 2005, she assumed the position of Director of Resources and Personnel for DTC. Then, in April 2011, she assumed the role of the ATEC Director for Resource Management (G8).
Her awards include numerous Department of the Army (DA) Superior Civilian Service Awards, DA Commander’s awards, DA Achievement Medals for Civilian Service; two Baltimore Federal Executive Board awards; the APG Outstanding Woman of the Year award; the ASAFMC Civilian Capstone Award, the Neil R. Gennetti Award, and the ASAFMC Resource Management Award; and numerous special acts and performance awards. Ms. Weaver is also a certified Army Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Mrs. Weaver is married to Mr. Jonathan Weaver, III. She is very active in her church, where she serves as the President of the Executive Board and is also a member of the Leadership Team.
BACKGROUND
Mrs. Sandi Weaver assumed the position of Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command in March of 2019.
