Fort Hood honors soldiers at retirement ceremony

FORT HOOD, Texas – Fifteen soldiers and two civilians will be honored at a formal retirement ceremony at 10 a.m., June 29, in Club Hood here.

The senior retiree at the ceremony is Lt. Col. Michael D. Steen, Operational Test Command, Fort Hood. He will retire after 30 years of service.

Others being honored include:

Lt. Col. Robert A. Gutierrez, G-7 Information Operations, Alpha Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, III Corps, Fort Hood. He will retire after 20 years of service.

Maj. Arturo Ruiz, Operational Test Command, Fort Hood. He will retire after 20 years of service.

Maj. Ulrike Banks, Headquarters Warrior Transition Brigade, Army Medical Command, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. She will retire after 22 years of service.

Command Sgt. Maj. George Zamudio, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood. He will retire after 30 years of service.

Sgt. Maj. Ronald Green, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood. He will retire after 32 years of service.

1st Sgt. Fabian G. Scott, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood. He will retire after 26 years of service.

Master Sgt. Michelle J. Sandahl, Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood. She will retire after 24 years of service.

Master Sgt. Steve H. Woodyard IV, Charlie Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, III Corps, Fort Hood. He will retire after 22 years of service.

Sgt. 1st Class Charles Anderson, 62nd Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood. He will retire after 22 years of service.

Sgt. 1st Class Mary C. Ramilo, Warrior Transition Brigade, Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood. She will retire after 24 years of service.

Sgt. 1st Class C.W. Anderson, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 62nd Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood. He will retire after 21 years of service.

Sgt. 1st Class Charles Roberts, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 215th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood. He will retire after 20 years of service.

Sgt. 1st Class Latanya P. Dorsey, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood. She will retire after 23 years of service.

Sgt. 1st Class Demetris James, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, Regimental Support Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, III Corps, Fort Hood. She will retire after 20 years of service.

Staff Sgt. Domingo J. Alvarado III, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, III Corps, Fort Hood. He will retire after 21 years of service.

Staff Sgt. Ronald L. Packard, Charlie Company, 62nd Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood. He will retire after 23 years of service.

Mr. James R. Ward, Director Aviation Operations Control Branch, Fort Hood. He will retire after 29 years of service.

Mrs. Marie A. Caruso, Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, III Corps, Fort Hood. She will retire after 35 years of service.
