Mission

To provide contracting support by planning, directing, and supervising the acquisition of supplies and services to support ATEC in their T&E mission.

Serves as the principal procurement advisor and staff officer for the Commander, and as liaison between ATEC and the Head of Contracting Activity (HCA)/Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting (PARC).

Supervises the development of operating policies.

Performs activities associated with personnel administration and develops and oversees training programs.

Monitors and improves the performance of the organization.

Reviews and approves contractual actions in compliance with statutes and regulations.

Plans, programs, and executes the budget for AMSCA.

Ensures that responses to audit reports are handled in accordance with established policies and regulations.

Interacts with the Army Contracting Agency (ACA), which provides installation and mission contracting support.
