    YD-01, Interdisciplinary Job Duties:
    Serves as an intermediate trainee/intern level capacity performing a variety of developmental duties with assignments that will broaden skills and provide practical experience. Performs segments of professional or technical projects involving duties such as: developing weapons system test designs, evaluating results of weapon system tests and reviewing technical aspects of applications, designs, or proposed plans for compliance with laws, regulations, standards, specifications, or other requirements. Gathers and reviews a variety of narrative and/or statistical data to prepare reports, conducts analyses of data to support conclusions or recommendations.

    YD-02, Interdisciplinary Job Duties:
    Conduct analysis and evaluations to determine the technical and operational effectiveness of Army Selected Multi-Service, and Joint Materiel and Automated Information Systems. Serves as a lead or member of an interdisciplinary team responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness, suitability, and survivability of weapon systems in the acquisition process. The positions to be filled cross all mission areas and include one or more of the following areas of expertise: Technical performance of weapon systems, reliability analyses, Integrated Logistics analyses, all areas of Survivability and lethality analyses, Modeling and Simulation, database development, Statistical analysis, Operations Research Analysis, Software analysis, and analysis of the Operational capabilities and limitations of weapon systems. "Weapon Systems" include all Army materiel in the Acquisition Process, systems to be fielded to Army units or Joint systems in which the Army has significant participation. Leads or contributes to the development of all Test and Evaluation related documentation in ATEC including the System Evaluation Plan, the Individual Event Plan, System Assessments, the System Evaluation Report and the System Analysis Report. Reviews or contributes to all T&E related documentation prepared by other major commands to include Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Operational Requirements Documents, and Critical Operational Issues. Monitors test execution, data collection, and data base development. Synthesize data from, modeling and simulation, experimentation, technical and operational testing to assess overall system capabilities and limitations. Interacts with program managers and other members of the acquisition community to ensure a comprehensive Test & Evaluation program is conducted. Prepares written analysis, evaluations, and briefings to support Army and DOD materiel decision-making. Develops, presents, and defends presentations within ATEC, to senior Army leadership, DOD officials, and at appropriate symposia.

    Acquisition:  These positions are considered Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce positions.  Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level 3 in Acquisition Career Field Test and Evaluation within 24 months of entrance on duty.

    YD-03, Interdisciplinary Non-Supervisory Job Duties:
    Serves as a Senior Analyst/Engineer performing independent, continuous and comprehensive analysis on assigned Army weapon systems. Defines, integrates, and implements strategic direction of vital programs. Develops, modifies, or adapts methods of operations research/engineering. Promulgates innovative solutions and methodologies. Identifies and resolves highly complex problem crossing organizational boundaries. Assesses and provides strategic direction and resolution of mission critical problems, policies and procedures. Develops analytical and technical input into system evaluation plans, system evaluation reports, test and evaluation master plans, event design plans, and system assessments. Advises on developing weapon system improvement programs. Establishes and/or leads teams to carry out complex projects or programs. Develops and integrates innovative approaches to attain goals and minimize expenditures.

    YF-03, Interdisciplinary Supervisory Job Duties:
    Serves as a Senior Supervisory Analyst/Engineer overseeing and performing independent, continuous and comprehensive analysis on assigned Army weapon systems. Performs a broad range of analyses for difficult-to-define, controversial, new, or novel systems/functions of major agency, national or international impact. Leads portions of the overall planning, conducting, evaluation, and reporting phases for the test and evaluation of Army weapon and Automated Information Systems. Leads, defines, manages, and integrates efforts of several groups or teams. Fosters the development of subordinates by providing guidance and sharing expertise. Directs assignments to encourage employee development and cross-functional growth to meet organizational needs. Conducts technical reviews of and supports the development of integrated system evaluation strategies, system evaluation plans, system evaluation reports, test and evaluation master plans, event design plans, and system assessments. Develops, acquires, and allocates resources to accomplish mission goals and strategic objectives.

    Critical Acquisition Requirements:  These positions are in the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field and are Critical Acquisition positions.  Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce (ALT) workforce applicants must have an Acquisition Career Record Brief (ACRB) on file in the Career Acquisition Personnel and Position Management Information System (CAPPMIS).

    Acquisition Corps membership is required prior to appointment to a CAP unless a waiver is granted.
