The Maneuver Ground Evaluation Directorate (MGED) conducts timely, independent evaluations of Army, multi-service and joint programs and Army Rapid Fielding Initiatives.   Programs include infantry/soldier systems, lethal and non-lethal weapons and munitions, wheeled and tracked combat platforms, battle command systems, and combat training simulators.
