The Army Evaluation Center (AEC) serves as the premier evaluation organization in DoD, planning and performing integrated evaluations on the effectiveness, suitability, and survivability of Army, selected multi-service, and joint materiel type classification and materiel release decisions. AEC conducts the Army Continuous Evaluation Program and Live Fire Evaluation Program. AEC provides support and conducts assessments of Army War-fighting and experimentation as well as Advanced Concept/Advanced Concept Technical Demonstrations. As a sub-command of the US Army Test and Evaluation Command, AEC provides DoD leadership with comprehensive and credible evaluations in support of providing soldiers with reliable, maintainable, and survivable equipment and weapon systems.

The Army Evaluation Center plans and conducts independent evaluations and assessments of acquisition programs to provide essential information to key Department of Defense decision makers.
